Direct-Fired Vaporizers

APPLICATION AREAS

• Used to convert LPG from liquid to gaseous phase.

BASIC INFORMATION

• LPG is transported and stored in liquid form. In its gaseous phase, its volume is approximately 300 times that it is in its liquid phase. Therefore, a phase conversion is needed before the final point of use. Vaporizers manufactured by ALGAS-SDI, which operate in the way of heat exchangers are classified in several sections depending on their method of energy procurement.

Types:
• Electrical Vaporizers
• Direct Fired Vaporizers
• Water Type Gas Fired Vaporizers
• Vaporizers with Indirect Heating

The American company ALGAS-SDI is a global leader in its specialty. It was formed in 1999 from a merger between the companies ALGAS and Sam Dick Industries which had operated in this field for a long time. Some of ALGAS-SDI’s products which are offered in a wide range catering to various needs have been applied in our country in various facilities including those of Toyota-SA, Arçelik, Assan, Tofaş, Türk Elektrik Endüstrisi, Mako, Uzel, Çanakkale Seramik, Eczacıbaşı Seramik, Toprak Seramik, Yurtbay Seramik, Anatolia Seramik, Zimaş, Sunteks, Bosch, İzocam, Paşabahçe (Şişe Cam) etc..

PROPERTIES OF DIRECT FIRED VAPORIZERS

• The energy required for vaporization is supplied directly. Liquid LPG is converted to the gaseous phase upon contact of the surface of the container with the flame, without the use of an exchanger.
• Efficiency has been maximized since no exchanger has been used.
• Is cheaper to operate as compared to other vaporizer types.
• Can be easily mounted, takes up little space. Approximately 1.5 m2 of space is sufficient.
• Has flexibility of design.
• Is equipped with a liquid level shut-off switch.
• There is no firing, dust, or waste; it is the cleanest form of vaporization.
• Enables quick responses to changes in capacity.
• Has high resistance to indoor and outdoor environments, and to bad weather conditions.
• Manufactured in two capacities, 80 kg/h ile 160 kg/h.
• Do not require electricity.
• Can operate at low temperatures.
