BASIC INFORMATION
In places that rely on natural gas and cannot afford interruptions, LPG/Air mixers are used during scheduled shutdowns, maintenance, or malfunctions. These mixers blend LPG with air to produce a fuel equivalent to natural gas, which is then supplied to gas consumption points.
For companies using gas under an uninterrupted supply tariff, the system can supplement natural gas during peak demand or when the main gas distribution company requests a capacity reduction, ensuring no disruptions or reductions in production.
The primary purpose of an LPG/Air mixer is not only to take advantage of cost-effective interrupted tariffs but also to prevent production disruptions caused by potential failures in main gas distribution lines or pressure reduction stations. Unlike companies that can tolerate short-term production halts, high-capacity operations such as cooking and annealing furnaces face significant financial losses if gas is cut off. A sudden cooling effect in furnaces that require gradual cooling can lead to irreparable damage to in-process materials.
ALGAS-SDI, a global leader in this field, was formed in 1999 through the merger of ALGAS and Sam Dick Industries, two long-established companies. ALGAS-SDI offers a broad product range to meet various needs. Some of its products are used in several facilities in our country, including Toyota-SA, Arçelik, Assan, Tofaş, Türk Elektrik Endüstrisi, Mako, Uzel, Çanakkale Seramik, Eczacıbaşı Seramik, Toprak Seramik, Yurtbay Seramik, Anatolia Seramik, Zimaş, Sunteks, Bosch, İzocam, and Paşabahçe (Şişe Cam), among many others.
