The Focus of the Industrial Sector, Which Consumes 35 Percent of Energy in Turkey, is ‘Environment and Savings’

Climate crisis, rapidly depleting energy resources and energy costs are among the main agenda items of all sectors. In 2021, 28 percent of the energy consumption of the industrial sector was electricity, 26 percent was natural gas, and 12 percent was coal. In addition, energy-related emissions account for the highest share of total greenhouse gas emissions in Turkey, at 71 percent. For this reason, businesses and industrial facilities aim to reduce both energy consumption costs and environmental impacts by renewing old and inefficient heating systems. At this point, businesses prefer radiant heating systems. Because in these systems, there is no obligation to heat the entire facility, as in central air conditioning systems. By heating optionally, that is, in preferred areas, 30 to 70 percent savings can be achieved compared to central hot air blowing systems.

Up to 70% savings with technology in compliance with the Ecodesign Directive
