The ITU Machinery Club organized a technical visit to the Çukurova Isı factory in Gebze.

In the event held on March 22, students were informed about the growth process of Çukurova Isı, the future of work life, career paths of managers, the air conditioning sector and employment opportunities.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Mechanical Engineering Department students visited the factory of Çukurova Isı, the leading company in the radiant heating sector, located in Gebze.

The organization held on March 22 with the contributions of the ITU Machinery Club began with a presentation by Kerem ÜNLÜ, Sales Manager of Çukurova Isı A.Ş., which included information about the growth process of Çukurova Isı, the air conditioning sector and employment opportunities. Kerem Ünlü also made guiding suggestions for future professionals in his speech:

“For a successful career, it is very important to put the information you have learned in theory into practice by evaluating part-time work opportunities. In this way, you will have the opportunity to start your business life knowledgeable, conscious and 1-0 ahead. Therefore, you should make good use of the opportunities that come your way.

University years are also very important in terms of developing your personal skills and competencies. For example, I recommend that you learn English and the coding programs that enable communication with machines very well. In addition, in order to be a good engineer, you need to follow the trends in the world closely, in other words, you need to be a good researcher. If possible, I also recommend that you take advantage of programs such as Erasmus or IAESTE and receive education abroad,” he said.

Following Kerem Ünlü’s presentation, Çukurova Isı A.Ş. Board Chairman Ömer Cihad Vardan met with the students and expressed his pleasure in meeting the engineers of the future as an ITU graduate. Ömer Cihad Vardan’s speech, which shared his memories from his university years and his professional work experiences with the students, attracted great attention.

After the presentations, the students had the opportunity to see the radiant and electric heaters exhibited in the showroom up close and learn about their working principles, and were given important information about the production processes during the factory tour.
