The leading brand in the radiant heating market, Çukurova Isı, continues to meet with university students.
Participating as a speaker in the BEMDays’22 event organized by Yıldız Technical University Machinery Technologies Club (MAKTEK) on March 17-18 with the motto “Get Inspired by the Future”, Çukurova Isı Sales Manager Kerem Ünlü shared information that will contribute to the personal development of future professionals.
The BEMDays’22 event organized by Yıldız Technical University Machinery Technologies Club (MAKTEK) with the motto “Get Inspired by the Future” and named after the first letters of the words Business, Engineering, Management, was held on March 17-18 at the Historical Hamam located in YTÜ Davutpaşa Campus. BEMDays’22 brought together successful companies of Turkey and Yıldız Technical University students in panels that lasted for two days.
Meeting with star students at the “Çukurova Isı special session” held on March 17 as part of the event, Çukurova Isı Sales Manager Kerem Ünlü talked about Çukurova Isı, the Turkish air conditioning sector, radiant heating systems, and employment opportunities in the sector:
“As Çukurova Isı, we are the leading company in the radiant heating market with a 65 percent market share. We export the products we produce in our Gebze factory to more than 30 countries today. With our wide sales and service network covering 81 provinces, we offer complete system solutions for industrial and commercial heating, especially for industrial facilities, cafes, restaurants, gyms, stadiums, mosques and factories, from free survey to project design, from sales to commissioning processes.”
Sharing information about the working principle and advantages of radiant heating systems, Kerem Ünlü said: “Radiant heating is provided by radiation. The gas burned by the burner is circulated inside the radiant pipes and the energy emitted from the heated pipe is directed downwards by reflectors to provide heating. Radiant heating first heats objects and people. Heating starts from the ground and is felt in a very short time. It does not aim to heat the air in the environment as in classical systems and thus provides savings of up to 60 percent in businesses. This rate is also very valuable for businesses and industrial facilities.” Kerem Ünlü, who also gave guiding advice for future professionals in his speech, said: “I recommend that you stay close to the industry throughout your university life and evaluate part-time internship opportunities that may come your way. Because sometimes opportunities that will determine your career may come your way while you are still at university. The air conditioning sector is one of them. You can work in departments such as R&D, production, business development, sales and quality in companies operating in our sector.
It is also very important to make investments that will contribute to your personal development during your university education. For example, I recommend that you speak English very well, learn a second language if possible, take advantage of programs such as Erasmus or IAESTE to broaden your horizons, study abroad and learn coding.”
Answering the questions of the students at the end of the panel, Kerem ÜNLÜ shared his satisfaction in being able to guide the students of Yıldız.
Being one of the platinum sponsors of BEMDays’22, Çukurova Isı’s stand in the exhibition area where advanced radiant heating technologies were exhibited also attracted great interest from students.
