R&D

THE FIRST AND ONLY RADIOMETRE IN TURKEY IS IN ÇUKUROVA ISI

As the leader of industrial heating in Türkiye, Çukurova Isı continues to set new standards in terms of renewable energy, energy saving, sustainability and green energy. Continuing to adopt environmentally friendly technologies in order to leave a more livable country for future generations contributes to our country’s future.

In this context, Çukurova Isı R&D department was established with the aim of designing, testing, prototyping and producing the most efficient devices on the market in terms of environmental sensitivity and sustainability.

Accordingly, it has the equipment to ensure the production of radiant heaters with the quality and efficiency required by the European Gas Appliances Regulation (GAR) in accordance with ErP-Ecodesign norms.

Our laboratory, where combustion, electrical, chimney and safety tests can be carried out, also has a Radiometer that can measure radiant efficiency and is approved by the Berlin Institute of Technology (PTB) and can measure in accordance with EN419 and EN416 standards, designed and approved by the European Association of Leading Radiant Heater Manufacturers (ELVHIS).

Eco-Design Regulation (Eco-Design (ErP) Directive)

ErP (Energy-Related Products);

The 2009/125/EC eco-design directive aims to ensure that the product operates at maximum efficiency and quality, while taking environmental sensitivity into account throughout its life cycle.

Goldsun CC and Competitor Product Yield Comparison Report:

1. Purpose: To make an efficiency comparison and fuel saving calculation between our Goldsun CC brand products that we produce and the next best-selling competitor product in the market.

Method 2: Our Goldsun CC 7/11 brand and model product and the rival product will be measured with the Elvhis Radiometer to reveal the radiant efficiencies of both products and calculate how much energy they consume per kW. In addition, the kW/m2 measurements obtained from the measurements will be converted into temperature increase dT graphs and the perceived temperature increase visual of the devices will be produced.

3. Measurement Results:
a. Goldsun CC 7/11:

At a 2-meter distance, the perceived temperature increase (ΔT) created by the heater in the environment is illustrated in the graph below. The maximum temperature increase in the effective heating area was measured as 8.24°C.

Measurement Parameters and Results:

Ambient Temperature: 17.3 °C
Humidity: 68%
Gas Consumption: 1.12 m3 / hr
Air Pressure: 1003 hPa Radiant
Factor Measurement Result: 60.19%

b. Competitor Product

At a 2-meter distance, the perceived temperature increase (ΔT) created by the competitor heater is illustrated in the graph below. The maximum temperature increase in the effective heating area was measured as 5.39°C.

Measurement Parameters and Results:
Ambient Temperature: 19 °C
Humidity: 59%
Gas Consumption: 1.13 m3/h
Air Pressure: 1004 hPa
Radiant Factor Measurement Result: 44.67%
